Details of the activity

The castle of Calmont d'Olt offers an essential visit thanks to a route explaining the architecture and history of the place. An archaeological exhibition, armor and equipment for knights as well as a unique panorama of Aubrac and the Lot valley. Far from the stasis of monuments, this castle has been constantly evolving for 30 years, thanks to stabilization work and archaeological sites. The fortress is alive thanks to guided tours, entertainment and shows. Discover trebuchet, cannon, bow and crossbow firing and daily life in the Middle Ages. For the children, come and enjoy a moment with the family: costumes of knights or princesses are available, free access to medieval games and "the knight's course" which allows children to win a diploma written in their name.
